Our Mission
APET's mission is to reduce populations of unwanted dogs and cats in Wood County, Tx, and to diligently work toward the goal of reducing animal cruelty, including neglect and abandonment. APET provides an animal shelter for stray cats and dogs and reduces populations by spaying and neutering all animals prior to adoption. Also, APET recognizes the importance of public outreach and education programs to foster a public sentiment of responsible pet ownership. APET also seeks to expand its SPCA-type shelter to provide refuge and adoption options in the area for a multitude of homeless dogs and cats.
