Every time you buy a jug of Cat's Pride litter, Cat's Pride donates a pound of litter to shelters in need so we can focus our resources on saving shelter cats.
Our Mission
The Johnson County Animal Shelter is dedicated to the mission of providing for the humane treatment of neglected, abused, stray and surrendered animals by establishing a shelter facility. In addition, our mission includes administering rescue & adoptive services, implementing education & training on responsible pet care and promoting and providing spaying and neutering services. The Johnson County Animal Shelter will continue its rescue efforts and hopes to network with local rescue and national organizations to save the lives of Johnson County animals. We need your help! Please consider becoming a member of Whiskers or Wags. We are always in need of foster homes as well as volunteers who could help with fundraising, transporting, home visits, grant writing and so much more. If you are interested in volunteering, simply visit the shelter seven days a week beginning at 9 a.m. and we'll get you started!
