Our Mission
Serendipittys Sanctuary of Hope is a SPECIAL NEEDS foster-home rescue sanctuary located in Galesburg, Illinois. We are dedicated and passionate about rescuing, rehabbing, training, educating and finding forever homes for our lost, abandoned and neglected companion animals. It is the mission of Serendipittys Sanctuary of Hope (SSOH) to address, educate, rescue, and provide aid and relief to eradicate neglected, abused, abandoned and unwanted companion animals at risk of euthanasia and homelessness throughout the country. It is our duty to be available when we are capable to provide immediate transport, veterinary care, and shelter to provide safe and nurturing foster homes where these cats and dogs can heal, both mentally and physically, until permanent homes are found through our adoption screening process. It is our purpose to provide and promote the importance of proper care, consistent vaccinations, and spaying and neutering of domesticated animals to decrease the growing population of canines and felines which increases the burden on government-run animal shelters. Serendipittys Sanctuary of Hope (SSOH) is a nonprofit no-kill animal welfare corporation and shall be operated exclusively for educational and charitable purposes within the meaning of Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code of 1986, or the corresponding section of any future federal tax code.
